Apparently I blog about as well as I journal. Go figure. When people ask me if I journal I always say "yes". I do. I have at least 6 journals filled up from the past 15 years. Sometimes there are daily journal entries for two weeks, and then it might skip 8 months. Or a year. But I still journal.
So, I felt inspired to add another blog entry...a year or so after my previous entry. I can't resist. Today was a perfect day to live in the South. Just a perfect day overall. Here's why:
1. Everyone participated in our family devotions around the breakfast table.
2. Daughter #1 made learning fun for the younger girls in her animated reading style this afternoon (aka Southern Preacher with "preach it, sister!" and "a-MEN" coming from the the "congregation").
3. I listened to my son playing the violin just because he wanted to.
4. It was nice enough for the girls to eat their lunch outside on the patio and enjoy playing in the puddles on their lunch break.
5. And this is the middle of January!
Tomorrow may be vastly different, but I don't have to worry about tomorrow. Right now, I can just bask in today.
